Welcome! I am Emily Yanak, the 6th grade ELA teacher. This is my first year at Carmichaels Area School District. I am looking forward to working with the students in the district and their families!

 

I graduated from California University of Pennsylvania in 2010, with a Bachelor of Science in Education, with certification in Elementary Education K-6. After graduating, I became a substitute in many school districts in Greene County teaching at multiple grade levels. I completed long term substituting position at West Greene School District and Jefferson-Morgan School District. In the spring of 2017, I returned to California University of Pennsylvania for Special Education certification. I recently received my certification this past summer. 

 

Outside of school, much of my time is spent with my family. My husband and I love to be outside with our two kids. We also enjoy having movie night and hosting game night with family and friends.
