8th grade students Jessi Blasinsky and Mia Ranieri take 1st place at the science fair with their experiment called "Foamy Fun" about exothermic reactions.
On May 17, 2017, the 8th grade team of Lucas Swartz, Hunter Voithofer, and Bailey Jones competed against several other middle schools in the Pittsburgh Regional Inventionland Competition. They took 1st place and won the title of "Top Inventor" with their invention, "The Slope Master," which is a ski bike. With their win, they also won another year of Inventionland for our school. Way to go, boys!
Lucas Swartz, Hunter Voithofer, and Bailey Jones recently competed in the local Inventionland competition, where they pitched their invention, "The Slope Master," to a panel of judges. It's a bike and skis all wrapped up in one. Wish the boys luck as they represent Carmichaels in the Regional Competition in Pittsburgh on May 17th. Good luck, boys!
Carmichaels Life Skills students met with West Greene Life Skills students at Suburban Lanes for their annual bowling tournament. Unfortunately, Carmichaels DID NOT bring home the traveling trophy- maybe next year. A good time was had by all
CARMICHAELS – Craig Miller is a busy man. Last year, he resigned as the Cumberland Township police chief, but he has taken on two full-time positions – one as a night-shift K-9 unit officer with the township and one as the new Carmichaels school resource officer.
